SUMMARY:Public Transport Group Trip to Shifnal
DESCRIPTION:Social trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Shifnal. The first of this year’s out-of-area PTG trips. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nOutward train 10:59 from Shrewsbury arrives Shifnal 11:23. The plan is to visit the pubs in the order below\, although we may have to stagger our visit to the micropub depending on how many there are of us. \n\n\n\nWhat Pub information for opening times and beer selection is as follows:- \n\n\n\nPark House: 11:00 – Hotel with one beer \n\n\n\nKings Yard: 12:00 – Micropub with four beers \n\n\n\nCrown: 12:00 – Four changing local beers \n\n\n\nPlough: 12:00 – Four changing beers \n\n\n\nWheatsheaf: 12:00 – Marstons range \n\n\n\nJaspers Arms: 12:00 – Four beers including Holden’s Golden Glow \n\n\n\nAnvil: 12:00 – Black Country pub with eight beers \n\n\n\nWinking Frog: 15:00 – Young persons pub. DESCRIPTION:Social and beer scoring trip by minibus from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. The minibus will take us to some rural pubs near Oswestry and then into Oswestry centre itself\, giving everyone the chance to visit CAMRA’s national pub of the year\, the Bailey Head. Departing from Salopian Bar at 7pm.
