SUMMARY:Public Transport Group Trip to Oswestry
DESCRIPTION:Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. Please note that this is a Friday trip. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nThis month’s PTG trip will be on Friday 17th October to Oswestry by bus. We have up to 10 pubs to visit in Oswestry including the Bailey Head\, CAMRA’s Pub of the Year\, and two other Good Beer Guide entries – the Oak Inn and the Bell.  \n\n\n\nThe suggested order of pubs is shown below. First stop will be the Wetherspoons pub\, the Wilfred Owen\, where those that want to can grab a quick meal before moving on.  \n\n\n\nTravel Information \n\n\n\nWe will meet at Shrewsbury bus station around 10:50\, to get the Arriva X5 bus to Oswestry.  \n\n\n\nShrewsbury to Oswestry:   11:00  X5 bus from Stand G\, arriving at the Bear Hotel stop in Oswestry at 11:57 \n\n\n\nOswestry to Shrewsbury:   X5 bus from opposite the Black Lion – 16:40 arriving at 17:40\,  or 17:25 arriving at 18:20 \n\n\n\nPubs \n\n\n\nWilfred Owen  (Wetherspoons)   – opens at 08:00 \n\n\n\nCoach House  (formerly Red Lion)   – opens at 12:00 \n\n\n\nBailey Head  (CAMRA Pub of the Year)   – opens at 12:00 \n\n\n\nGriffin– opens at 11:30 \n\n\n\nFox  (Joules pub)   – opens at 10:00 \n\n\n\nTankard   – opens at 12:00 \n\n\n\nWynnstay Hotel   – opens at 12:00 \n\n\n\nOak Inn   – opens at 12:00 \n\n\n\nBell   – opens at 14:00 \n\n\n\nBlack Lion   – opens at 16:00 \n\n\n\nHope to see you there \n\n\n\nFor more information about our Public Transport Group (PTG) trips\, please see the About Our Events page.
