SUMMARY:Public Transport Group Trip to Oswestry
DESCRIPTION:Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. This is the first beer scoring trip of the year to towns in our branch area. Members and non-members are very welcome! \n\n\n\nThe recommended bus is the 10:30 X5 from Shrewsbury bus station\, arriving in Oswestry at 11:25. First stop will be the Wilfred Owen. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this is a Friday trip as pubs in Oswestry have better opening hours than on a Thursday\, as can be seen by the information below: \n\n\n\n\nThe Bailey Head opens at 12:00 rather than 15:00\n\n\n\nThe Griffin is open all day rather than closing at 15:00\n\n\n\nNo. 56 (formerly the Bastion) opens at 13:00 rather than 17:00\n\n\n\nThe Bell opens at 14:00 rather than 16:00\n\n\n\nThe Black Lion opens at 16:30 rather than 18:00\n\n\n\nThe former Red Lion now the Coach House is open from Noon to 15:00 on a Friday and closed all day Thursday.\n\n\n\nThe Tankard\, Plough\, Oak\, Wynnstay Hotel\, Fox and Wilfred Owen are open all day.\n\n\n\n\nBus return times are 16:35\, 17:20\, or 18:05 from Oswestry bus station. \n\n\n\nFor more information about our Public Transport Group (PTG) trips\, please see the About Our Events page.
