SUMMARY:Public Transport Group Trip to Bishop's Castle
DESCRIPTION:Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Bishop’s Castle. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nThis month’s PTG trip will on Thursday 20th August to Bishop’s Castle\, Minsterley and Pontesbury by bus. We will have six pubs to visit this time as the Three Tuns in Bishop’s Castle is back open. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTravel Information \n\n\n\nWe will meet at Shrewsbury bus station at 10:00\, to get the 10:05 Bishop’s Castle bus\, usually from Stand N. Note that the nearest bus stop to the Plough in Pontesbury is on Hall Bank\, which is about 500m from the pub. \n\n\n\nDepending on what time bus you want to get back to Shrewsbury from Pontesbury\, there is the choice of either going to two pubs (one in Minsterley and one in Pontesbury\, or two in Pontesbury) and getting the earlier bus back at 16:13\, or going to Minsterley and two pubs in Pontesbury and getting the later bus back at 17:03. \n\n\n\nShrewsbury to Bishop’s Castle:  Minsterley Motors 553 \n\n\n\n\n10:05 arriving at 11:05\n\n\n\n\nBishop’s Castle to Minsterley:  Minsterley Motors 553 \n\n\n\n\n13:30 arriving at 13:58\n\n\n\n\nMinsterley to Pontesbury (Hall Bank):  Minsterley Motors 553 \n\n\n\n\n14:43 arriving at 14:48\n\n\n\n\nPontesbury (Nag’s Head) to Shrewsbury: Minsterley Motors 553  \n\n\n\n\n16:13 arriving at 16:40\n\n\n\n17:03 arriving at 17:30\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPubs \n\n\n\nBishop’s Castle: \n\n\n\nCastle Hotel   (opens at 11:00) \n\n\n\nThree Tuns   (opens at 12:00) \n\n\n\nSix Bells   (opens at 12:00) \n\n\n\nMinsterley: \n\n\n\nCrown and Sceptre   (opens at 12:00) \n\n\n\nPontesbury: \n\n\n\nPlough   (opens at 2:00pm) \n\n\n\nNag’s Head    (opens 12:00) \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIf this is your first PTG trip and you don’t know anyone else who is going\, please email the organiser so that we know to look out for you at the bus station. \n\n\n\nFor more information about our Public Transport Group (PTG) trips\, please see the About Our Events page.
