DESCRIPTION:Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Whitchurch. Note that the PTG trips for September\, October and November have been changed round to accomodate a visit to the Stretton Ale House in Church Stretton which re-opens in October. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nOutward travel on Thursday 19th September is on the 10:19 train ex Shrewsbury\, arriving Whitchurch 10:47\, return on the 16:29 arriving Shrewsbury 16:50. \n\n\n\nFor those who would prefer to use their bus passes the 511 bus leaves the bus station at 09:45 arriving Whitchurch at 11:10. The return bus is at 16:32 arriving in Shrewsbury at 18:02. \n\n\n\nFirst call in Whitchurch will be the Black Bear which opens at 11:30. The route will then be Red Cow\, Old Town Hall Vaults\, White Bear\, Crafty Dragon\, Old Eagles\, Bull’s Head. DESCRIPTION:Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle and Pontesbury. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nOutward bus is the 10:05 from Stand N at Shrewsbury bus station. We will arrive at Salop Street Jcn\, Bishops Castle\, at 11:03. The Castle Hotel opens at 11:00\, then on to the Three Tuns and the Six Bells. \n\n\n\nWe will then get the 13:30 bus from opposite the Boar’s Head\, arriving at Pontesbury at 14:03. A short walk down Chapel Street brings us to the Plough which opens at 14:00\, from there we walk to the Nag’s Head. \n\n\n\nThe bus back to Shrewsbury will be the 16:15 from the stop outside the Nag’s Head arriving at Shrewsbury bus station at 16:40. \n\n\n\nIt is recommended to double-check the details on this page a day or so before the trip starts\, just in case any of the arrangements have changed. With a real ale and cider bar\, cocktail bar\, live music each day and food served all weekend. Please note timings are approximate. \n\n\n\nOn Thursday 25th there will be an early beer fest quiet session in the tent. DESCRIPTION:Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Whittington\, Welsh Frankton and Ellesmere. Members and non-members welcome! \n\n\n\nWe will be taking the 11:30 Arriva X5 bus from Shrewsbury Bus Station\, arriving in Whittington at 12:09. We will be visiting the Olde Boote and the White Lion\, which are both open at 12:00. \n\n\n\nThen on the 13:41 Lakeside 449 bus\, arriving at Welsh Frankton at 13:46. There we will be visiting the Narrowboat\, which is open from 12:00. \n\n\n\nDeparting Welsh Frankton at 14:46 by bus\, we will arrive at Ellesmere at 14:53. Pubs available to visit before 16:00 will be the Swan\, Red Lion and Market Hotel. After 16:00\, the Vaults Micro Bar\, Ellesmere Hotel and White Hart will be open.  \n\n\n\nThe return journey will be on the Lakeside 501 bus at 17:10\, which will arrive in Shrewsbury at 17:55. \n\n\n\nFor more information about our Public Transport Group (PTG) trips\, please see the About Our Events page.

DESCRIPTION:There is going to be a beer festival in Leebotwood Village Hall on Saturday 6th July. There will be real ales and cider\, along with curries and a BBQ\, and also live music. Tickets are £10 if bought beforehand\, otherwise £12.50 on the door. Tickets include a commemorative glass\, first drink and all day entry. Doors open at 2pm.
