CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain (CBoB) is one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the
world. It is the ultimate honour for UK brewers and has helped put many into the national spotlight. It is awarded every year at the Trade Session of the CAMRA Great British Beer Festival.

It is the culmination of almost a year of tasting and voting by CAMRA members, gradually narrowing down the beers in each category, until the final tasting session at the Great British Beer Festival where the winners are finally chosen.

The 2023 winners and runners up can be seen below. Great to see one of Shropshire’s breweries in there, with Salopian winning the Session Bitter category with Darwin’s Origin, and also coming third in the Session Pale, Blond and Golden Ales category with Oracle. They then went on to win Bronze with Darwin’s Origin in the Champion Beer of Britain overall winners.
