Following discussion at the AGM, travel to and from Loughborough is recommended by rail from Shrewsbury, OR Wem/ Whitchurch. The organiser, Philip Hamson, will be waiting in Loughborough at the railway station whichever route you take. Suggested train from Shrewsbury is the 08:59 to Birmingham New Street, then B'ham New St to Leicester, then finally Leicester to Loughborough arriving at 11:.26. Return by the same route leaves Loughborough at 17:32 or better, 18:.30. Suggested train from Wem via Whitchurch is the 08:35 to Crewe. 50 minutes wait in the coffee shop/waiting room, then Crewe to Derby, Derby to Loughborough - arriving in Loughborough at 11:51. Philip will be waiting for you outside Loughborough Station. Suitable returns leave Loughborough at 17:50, or if you miss it, 17:54 same route back, arriving in Wem at 20:36.
