Just outside our branch area in the Telford and East Shropshire CAMRA region, the Falcon Inn in Hinstock has just reopened under community ownership, after a year of extensive renovations.

After the pub closed in December 2022, the local residents of Hinstock  managed to get the 200 year old pub registered as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) and formed a community group to take over the lease. They now have a 15 year lease with the option to purchase the pub when the tenancy ends.

Lots of local volunteers have been helping to bring the pub back to life, and will also be involved in running the pub too. It looks like there will be up to four real ales on from mainly local breweries.
