Monty's Brewery, Montgomery
Just outside our branch’s western border, Monty’s Brewery in Montgomery, Wales has launched a special beer called Navigation Pale Ale to raise funds for the restoration of part of the Shropshire Union Canal. Monty’s will be donating to the restoration fund with every pint sold.
The restoration will cover a missing section of the canal starting at Crickheath, south of Oswestry, and running south to Arddleen in Wales, where it will connect with an existing section of the canal.
So far, over 10,000 pints have been sold resulting in a significant amount of cash donated to the restoration fund. However, the canal society needs around £600,000 to fund the works, so if you come across Monty’s Navigation Pale Ale in a pub near you, please have a pint or two!
