  • Public Transport Group Trip to the Strettons

    Trip starts at Shrewsbury Bus Station Raven Meadows, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United Kingdom

    Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to the Strettons. Members and non-members welcome! This month’s PTG trip will on Thursday 18th September to the Strettons by bus. We will have at 8 pubs to visit in Little Stretton, Church Stretton and All Stretton. These will include two Good Beer Guide pubs: the Green Dragon in Little Stretton and the Yew Tree in All Stretton. Also, the Old Bike Shop in Church Stretton has very kindly offered to open an hour earlier for us at 3pm.     The Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival is one of the UK’s largest and most anticipated beer and cider events. Organised by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA, we’re dedicated to showcasing an incredible selection of real ales, ciders, and perries from across the country and beyond.  The Nottingham Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival will return to Trent Bridge cricket ground on 8th-11th October 2025 and feature over 500 beers and 100 ciders and perries, plus music and plenty of food options.   • Public Transport Group Trip to Oswestry

    Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. Please note that this is a Friday trip. Members and non-members welcome! This month’s PTG trip will be on Friday 17th October to Oswestry by bus. We have up to 10 pubs to visit in Oswestry including the Bailey Head, CAMRA’s Pub of the Year, and two other Good Beer Guide entries - the Oak Inn and the Bell.  The suggested order of pubs is shown below.   • Ludlow Brewery Oktoberfest

    Oktoberfest beer festival at Ludlow Brewery on 17th,18th,19th October. 30 beers (cask / keg) & lagers. Sausages (it wouldn't be an Oktoberfest without a few sausages!), hog roast, pizzas, burgers & waffle - look out for Bavarian twists to menus! Live music. Prizes for Oktoberfest fancy dress - dig out those dirndls / wench costumes and lederhosen. Great vibes all weekend.
