Public Transport Group Trip to Bishop’s Castle

Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Bishop’s Castle. Members and non-members welcome!

This month’s PTG trip will on Thursday 20th August to Bishop’s Castle, Minsterley and Pontesbury by bus. We will have five pubs to visit this time – the Three Tuns in Bishop’s Castle is back open, but unfortunately the Nag’s Head in Pontesbury is closed until 5pm now.

Due to there being only one pub open in the afternoon in Pontesbury, it now gives us time to make a quick stop in Minsterley to visit the Crown and Sceptre.

Travel Information

We will meet at Shrewsbury bus station at 10:00, to get the 10:05 Bishop’s Castle bus, usually from Stand N. Note that the nearest bus stop to the Plough in Pontesbury is on Hall Bank, which is about 500m from the pub.
