Public Transport Group Trip to Bishop’s Castle

Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Bishop’s Castle. Members and non-members welcome!

This month’s PTG trip will on Thursday 20th August to Bishop’s Castle, Minsterley and Pontesbury by bus. We will have six pubs to visit this time as the Three Tuns in Bishop’s Castle is back open.

Travel Information

We will meet at Shrewsbury bus station at 10:00, to get the 10:05 Bishop’s Castle bus, usually from Stand N. Note that the nearest bus stop to the Plough in Pontesbury is on Hall Bank, which is about 500m from the pub.

Depending on what time bus you want to get back to Shrewsbury from Pontesbury, there is the choice of either going to two pubs (one in Minsterley and one in Pontesbury, or two in Pontesbury) and getting the earlier bus back at 16:13, or going to Minsterley and two pubs in Pontesbury and getting the later bus back at 17:03.
