Public Transport Group Trip to Oswestry

Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. This is the first beer scoring trip of the year to towns in our branch area. Members and non-members are very welcome!

The recommended bus is the 10:30 X5 from Shrewsbury bus station, arriving in Oswestry at 11:25. First stop will be the Wilfred Owen.

Please note that this is a Friday trip as pubs in Oswestry have better opening hours than on a Thursday, as can be seen by the information below:

• The Bailey Head opens at 12:00 rather than 15:00
• The Griffin is open all day rather than closing at 15:00
• No. 56 (formerly the Bastion) opens at 13:00 rather than 17:00
• The Bell opens at 14:00 rather than 16:00
• The Black Lion opens at 16:30 rather than 18:00
• The former Red Lion now the Coach House is open from Noon to 15:00 on a Friday and closed all day Thursday.
• The Tankard, Plough, Oak, Wynnstay Hotel, Fox and Wilfred Owen are open all day.

Bus return times are 16:35, 17:20, or 18:05 from Oswestry bus station.
