Beer Bus Trip to Whitchurch
Trip starts at Salopian Bar 29 Smithfield Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United KingdomSocial and beer scoring trip by minibus from Shrewsbury to Whitchurch. Departing from Salopian Bar at 7pm. Note that Beer Bus participants have been invited to the soft opening of the Crafty Dragon on Friday night, the new micro-pub on Mill Street run by Magic Dragon brewery. This is an invitation-only event before officially opening to the public on Saturday 24th. Both members and non-members are welcome on the Beer Bus. Places must be pre-booked with Dave Ricketts - he can be contacted using the email address below, or by phone after 4:30pm (SMS text preferred). Public Transport Group Trip to Oswestry
Trip starts at Shrewsbury Bus Station Raven Meadows, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United KingdomSocial and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Oswestry. This is the first beer scoring trip of the year to towns in our branch area. Members and non-members are very welcome! The recommended bus is the 10:30 X5 from Shrewsbury bus station, arriving in Oswestry at 11:25. First stop will be the Wilfred Owen. Please note that this is a Friday trip as pubs in Oswestry have better opening hours than on a Thursday, as can be seen by the information below: Bus return times are 16:35, 17:20, or 18:05 from Oswestry bus station. Black Country Ales – Real Ale Trail
Royal Oak Coton Hill, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United KingdomBlack Country Ales are running their annual Ale Trail minibus tours this year between the 1st March and 31st May. Our local Black Country Ales pub, the Royal Oak in Coton Hill, Shrewsbury, is putting on an Ale Trail minibus on Saturday 6th April. This will be travelling over to the Black Country at 11am to visit seven of the Black Country Ales pubs, spending 50 minutes in each one, and then returning at 8pm. The cost will be approximately £20. Places on the bus are limited and must be pre-booked by going into the Royal Oak and putting your name on the list.
