Social and beer scoring trip by minibus from Shrewsbury to the Clun Valley. This is a Saturday daytime trip, departing from Salopian Bar at 11am. Members and non-members welcome. A Shrewsbury walkabout to celebrate Beer Day Britain, starting at the Coach and Horses on Swan Hill at 3pm on Saturday 15th June. We will be in the Royal Oak, Coton Hill in time to do the 'Cheers to Beer' at 7pm. Members and non-members welcome! The route details are as follows: we will start at Coaches Horses at 3pm, then The Admiral Benbow, then the two Spoons, The Kings Head and the The Salopian Bar & Garden. Figuring on half an hour per pub plus 5-10 minutes walking between town centre venues, that should just give us time to get to The Royal Oak Shrewsbury in time to get a pint in hand for 7pm and the National Cheers To Beer. Updates to timing and the route will be posted on the Facebook page on the day. Those with additional capacity could do worse than a second pint there, but will also be handily placed for The Woodman Inn and The Bird In Hand. |

Shrewsbury & West Shropshire CAMRA festival working party, organising the next Shrewsbury Beer Festival. Members and non-members welcome. NOTE TIME AND VENUE CHANGE: The date of June's Branch Meeting has been changed from the 25th to the 18th due to the England-Slovenia game on the 25th. So this Festival Working Party meeting will now be shortened to 1 hour starting at 6pm in the Woodman, before the branch meeting starts at 7pm.

Social and beer scoring trip by public transport from Shrewsbury to Ludlow. Members and non-members welcome! Outward train 10:40 from Shrewsbury arrives Ludlow 11:09. For those who prefer to use their bus pass, the 09:55 435 gets to Ludlow railway station at 11:10. Suggested return trains for bus connections in Shrewsbury are 16:19, which arrives in Shrewsbury at 16:49, or 16:52 arrives 17:23. The 15:55 bus from outside the Compasses arrives in Shrewsbury at 17:11. First port of call will be the Railway Shed (Ludlow Brewery).
